Call For Help Copyright © 2009 by Gwendolen Rhoades
The little girl cried and cried,
and yelled for help.
At school, her sad eyes and
broken spirit yelled for help.
But sadly no one came.
A broken arm, a bruised face,
a little girl that fit in no place.
She called for help,
but no one came.
One day she was rushed to the emergency room.
A few cracked ribs, a broken nose, and a shattered heart.
A child, full of broken dreams,
was never heard when she called for help.
\Her plea was finally heard, but it was too late.
Now that child rests permanently,
and is in a place where she won’t
have to cry for help again.
